October is Beginners’ Month

Back to Basics in October!

This series of free classes is exclusively for Society Members who have only just started researching their family history or have just taken a DNA test or for anyone wanting a recap.

All classes are via Zoom and the live presentations will be recorded, so that no one has to miss out! All Members will receive a link to the recordings after the final class in the series so you do not need to register. Recordings will not include the Q&A sessions or the Research Centre Look-Up session, so if you’d like to be part of those, you will need to attend live.

Each class will be approximately 90 minutes – usually a one-hour talk followed by our very popular questions and answer sessions.

You have taken a DNA test and want to know what to do now. Or you just want a recap. This is the class for you.

Please make sure you have uploaded your DNA to FamilyTreeDNA as some of the information will apply to working with your DNA on that particular site. Click here for instructions to upload.

This is your opportunity to see what records we hold at our Research Centre and to ask for a live Look-up for any you want to know more about. Our experts will be available to make suggestions and possibly to uncover some vital information about an ancestor.
